Adrienne and Dan's Save-the-Date Cards

Adrienne and Dan asked me to design save-the-date cards for their wedding in Washington next summer. The wedding is taking place on a farm near Seattle, so we thought simple, rustic earthtones would set the tone for their big day. They're such a fun-loving couple, so I added the whimsical bird design and curly font to make it better fit their personalities.

Tara's Thank You Notes

After Tara's baby shower, she asked me to design thank you notes to match the invitations. I didn't want them to be exactly the same as the invitations - I wanted them to match nicely and compliment each other. On the back of the card, at the bottom, was Tara and her husband's name in script.

Tara's Baby Shower

A college friend of mine, Dana, wanted something special for her sister Tara's baby shower. She had just found out that Tara was having a baby boy, so the invitations should be blue. She advised me that Tara isn't into cartoons, logos or other graphics that are common in baby stationary. I was able to find a happy medium in these invitations...an interesting graphic that's blue, without looking like any other baby shower invitation out there. Michelle's Wedding Shower

I had the pleasure of designing wedding shower invitations for my friend Michelle. I worked with her sister, Adrienne, who is also a friend of mine, to design an invitation to fit Michelle's style. She wanted something classic and simple, but with a twist. Michelle loves the color red, so I incorporated a red/fushia into the design. Click on the graphic above to view a larger, clearer version!

Charlotte's Surprise Wedding Shower

I had the honor of being a bridesmaid in Charlotte and Andy's wedding, so I was involved in planning her bridal shower. I designed the invitations and also a recipe card (on which we asked guests to write their favorite recipe for Charlotte). Click on the graphic(s) above to view clearer, larger versions.

Charlotte and Andy's Wedding Invitations

When Charlotte told me she was engaged, my first thought was "wow, I'm SO excited for her!" and my second thought was "I hope she asks me to design her wedding stationary." Well, of course she did and it was a lot of fun and a great experience overall. Charlotte and Andy wanted their invitations to be fun and unique, but also classy and simple. In addition to the cards above, I designed an accommodation card and directions card. Click on the graphic(s) above to view clearer, larger versions!

Jenny's Bachelorette Party

After telling my friends for months (ok, well maybe even years) about how I can't wait to start up my business, my friend Bridget came to me and asked if I want to design invitations for our friend Jenny's bachelorette party. I was thrilled! I talked to Bridget about the details of the party and one word kept popping up in conversation: chic. I also wanted to reflect Jenny's personality in the invitation design. Everyone who knows Jenny, knows that she is such a fun-loving, vibrant person. I came up a design that was chic and glamorous, but also fun colorful and at the same time. The paper and envelopes I used were pearlescent white which really made the colors pop and added a little glamour.

It's official!

Friends and family have been telling me that I should expand my little design business and start promoting myself. Now that I've successfully designed invitations for several friends, I feel that I can now start concentrating on my future. This website is going to be a showcase for past projects and give me an opportunity to share my ideas with you!
